The Spallumucheen "Where Agriculture Meets Industry "
The name "Spallumcheen" is derived from the First Nations word meaning "beautiful valley"
Armstrong and Spallumcheen are situated between the Okanagan Valley and the cooler, Shuswap Valley. Spallumcheen is one of the finest agricultural areas in British Columbia with diverse farms surrounded by forested hillsides. Trails along the Wildlife and Ecological Reserves draw outdoor enthusiasts from near and far. Be sure to visit the Armstrong Interior Provincial Exhibition and Stampede, which runs late August. Armstrong has a friendly, charming old west image and historic feeling in the downtown area. Explore the many small specialty shops. Caravan Farms is a unique outdoor theatre that incorporates the old west in its many entertaining productions during the summer and over Christmas.
